Lincoln (San Diego, CA) running back Roderick committed to UCLA Thursday morning, giving Chip Kelly a commitment from the top back out west.
If you would've asked me if this would be a surprise a couple months ago I would've said yes, especially with the Lincoln connection in 2022 signees Jahlil Florence and Jalil Tucker. However Oregon has shifted its focus to other names recently. Overall, I think Oregon is going to be just fine at running back and this wasn't much of a surprise.
It's also worth noting that the Ducks aren't gonna be strangers at San Diego, with Oregon set to get an official visit from 2023 Lincoln linebacker David Peevy. Lake Stevens (Wash.) RB Jayden Limar is set to announce his commitment later today but it's looking like Notre Dame is the team to beat there.
